NAIROBI, Kenya – Fly-SAX, Kenya’s premier safari and private charter airline, is pleased to announce the launch of its new international route to Uganda. Commercial flights between Nairobi and Entebbe, the capital of Uganda, commence tomorrow, 9 January 2015. With twice daily flights, Fly-SAX is significantly increasing the connectivity between the two countries and ensuring greater passenger choice.

“We are launching a new route to meet the ever-increasing demand for low-cost, efficient and safe air travel between Uganda and Kenya,” said Don Smith, CEO & Founder of Fly-SAX. “Uganda forms part of our multi-hub strategy operating out of Nairobi and Mombasa, serving major cities in East Africa as well as the popular beaches and safari destinations within Kenya.”

Fly-Sax will be using a 50-seater CRJ to ferry passengers to and from Entebbe.

Uganda is bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the southwest by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. It is where the East African savannah meets the West African jungle offering a unique safari experience and opportunities. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of Lake Victoria, shared with Kenya and Tanzania, situating the country in the African Great Lakes region. As a result of its rich natural landscape, Uganda was listed among the top 10 destinations to visit in 2013 by the National Geographic whilst Kidepo Valley National Park was Number 3 in ‘Africa’s 10 Best National Parks 2013’ by CNN Travel.
