WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the pilots of the Travel Management Company, voted to join the Teamsters union.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the pilots of the Travel Management Company, voted to join the Teamsters union. The Travel Management Company is the largest single provider of on-demand charter aircraft services in America.

“The Teamsters Union looks forward to working with the pilots of Travel Management Company to preserve and improve their compensation, benefits, work rules and just-cause job protections under a union contract, like those guaranteed at other on-demand and charter aircraft operators we have organized,” said Capt. David Bourne, Director of the Teamsters Airline Division. “These rights will be secured by an enforceable contract, rather than promulgated unilaterally by the company, as in the past.”

Pilots with Travel Management Company (TMC) voted overwhelmingly, 120-57, today in favor of Teamster representation. After the National Mediation Board (NMB) certifies the election, about 200 TMC pilots will become members of Teamsters Local 1108 in Richmond Heights, Ohio, and join the more than 75,000 airline industry workers currently represented by the Teamsters Airline Division.
