TAIPEI, Taiwan – Taiwan’s leading independent airline, EVA Air, is introducing non-stop flights between Taipei and Houston.

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Taiwan’s leading independent airline, EVA Air, is introducing non-stop flights between Taipei and Houston. Effective from 19th June 2015, the airline will initiate the new service with three flights a week and increase frequency to four from 1st July 2015. The new route will provide passengers with a comfortable way to fly from the Southwestern region of the United States to Taipei and conveniently transfer to major destinations throughout Asia.

EVA Air will serve the Taipei – Houston route with its latest Boeing 777-300ER aircraft which will be delivered in May 2015 and brightly painted with eye-catching Hello Kitty and Sanrio characters. The 333-seat aircraft will be configured with 39 seats in Royal Laurel business, 56 in Elite premium economy and 238 in Economy class. It will be equipped with Wi-Fi, the latest inflight entertainment system and SMS roaming service, enabling passengers to send and receive text messages on their own mobile phones.

Flights between Taipei’s Taoyuan International and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airports are scheduled as follows:

As part of its network expansion programme, the Taiwanese carrier will further enhance the convenience of its one-stop connections by flying the new Hello Kitty jet between Taipei and Singapore in addition to Houston.

EVA Air is a member of the Star Alliance and links destinations worldwide. It currently offers 55 weekly flights from North America to Taipei. As an addition to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, the airline’s new Houston gateway will make travel to and from the US Southwest and the major cities in Asia more convenient than ever.
