ATTARD, Malta – The Corinthia Palace Hotel & SPA in Malta, together with beyond3sixty, the island’s luxury holiday specialist, announced four 2015 departure dates for their newly launched exclusive “Private Malta” program: January 21-25, March 19-23, June 7-11, and September 10-14.

PRIVATE MALTA, takes the visitor beyond the many world-famous historic attractions found on Malta, such as ‘the silent city’ of Mdina and the baroque capital Valletta, as well as behind the normally closed doors of some of the most interesting private homes and Palazzos, to meet the owners.

This unique program has a plethora of highlights, including private visits to the spectacular St. John’s Cathedral, a yacht tour of The Grand Harbour, and musical performances in Palazzos.

Malta, which boasts many top UNESCO World Heritage Sites, will host Europe’s City of Culture in its stunning, architecturally superb capital, Valetta in 2018. The people of Malta were awarded the prestigious George Cross by the British King George V1 in 1942, in recognition of their bravery at battles early in the last World War. Both of these aspects will be highlighted within the program, helping the guests to really come to know the old and new of this unique island nation.

The City of Valetta is currently undergoing a major renaissance in the property sector with extensive refurbishments under way on private and public buildings.

A new Parliament building is being completed, designed by word famous Italian designer Renzo Piano. Many of the Bastions, the ancient city walls in the capital and around the island, are also being upgraded and repaired after years of neglect. The whole island is getting some much-needed love and attention.

“Our aim,’’ says creator, Jim Dunn, a British resident of Malta and an advisor to the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, “is to not only let the visitors see and learn much of Malta’s tremendous history over the centuries, but to enable visitors meet the locals in their homes for a private visit over a lunch, dinner or coffee”.

“For instance, my home in Cospicua, which is part of the historic Three Cities, will be included,” he continues. “It is, if you like a Brit’s version of a 200-year -old refurbished townhouse or Palazzino in this beautiful part of Malta – one of the most original and untouched areas of the island.”

“There really is so much to see in this tiny country in such a short visit. We hope this program will encourage visitors to return again and again, and to really come to know the charming nuances of this very special island.”

“With that in mind, our aim is to give visitors a VIP experience like no other. It will include private arrivals and transfers, five-star hotel accommodation, and access to many of the island’s true gems – most of which are rarely open to the public.”

The itinerary has been crafted by beyond3sixty, who specialize in creating luxury and bespoke holidays for discerning travelers in the Maltese Islands and Sicily. Their team of specialists draw on a wealth of practical experience and understanding of the luxury travel market, while their extensive network offers unbeatable insider access to this destination.

David Woodward, the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa’s general manager says, “Malta means so many different things to so many different people. It has a prevailing warm climate, clear blue seas, constantly-improving cuisine and a great nightlife scene, as well as an unbeatable history and incredible architecture. We will highlight all that through Private Malta – the Knights’ of St John, the ports and cities, the spectacular Grand Harbour and, finally, the Palazzos and private homes.”

The cost of this exclusive itinerary starts from €2,150 per person (in a group) for four nights’ accommodation in a deluxe twin room, including all meals, transfers, guides and taxes.
