Visitors and tourists in London are treated to a spectacular event of a special kind. The first of the nearly 900,000 poppies to commemorate soldiers who have lost their lives during World War I were installed in August around the London Tower.
The stunning memorial installation attracted 4 million visitors, and every day at sunset their names are read out.
This year also marks 100 years since the outbreak of World War I, the conflict which sparked the wearing of a poppy as a symbol of remembrance.
Part of the installation will be dismantled on November 12 with poppies going on sale for 25 GBP to help the veterans.
