The seventh edition of the Zot Movie Festival comes to Beach Cape Lobster, this Saturday, October 18, 2014.

The seventh edition of the Zot Movie Festival comes to Beach Cape Lobster, this Saturday, October 18, 2014. The film festival on extreme sports, created by and for thrill seekers, promises a day full of surprises and unprecedented performance and an evening with “feet in the sand, head in the stars, and full eye images.”

With a first edition of the event in 2008, the Zot Movie Festival has conquered the heart of a growing and increasingly hungry-for-thrills audience over the years. So much so that nearly 8,000 spectators had responded to the invitation in 2013, against 500 in 2008 – a meteoric rise and a nice reward for Arnaud and Nicolas Darbon Dantec, organizers.

The Zot Movie Festival offers a selection of 15 to 20 exclusive short films broadcast on a giant screen. Raw 2014 is decidedly eclectic and multidisciplinary showing drift trike, diving, urban hip hop, rock climbing, wakeboarding, rollerblading, boogie boarding, kayaking, windsurfing, mountain biking, and snorkeling. Seven prizes will be awarded by a jury of professionals for: Best Film, Best Screenplay, Installation Price, Price Soundtrack, Price Performance, Audience Award, and Special Jury Prize. Upstream of the evening, many events and sports performance will take place at the site.

This year, the Zot Movie Festival settles on the esplanade of Boucan Canoe from Friday, October 17, with the evening providing a program show of hip hop, and best-of-six previous editions of the festival concert.

Sports activities and outdoor activities in Reunion on the small and big screen

Reunion Island is full of usable sports on land, in the water, and in the air. This diversity is in Reunion Islandโ€™s destination status for outdoor sports. In this context, the objective of the Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) is to publicize in the country, the outdoor sports and thrills practiced on the island. Again this year, the IRT is a partner of the Zot Movie Festival, through the management team, Riding Area. Only TNT magazine is devoted to extreme sports and the culture of surfing, the show presented by Tiga, entering its eighth season with a new formula for 26 minutes. Riding Zone, which revolves around a story of twelve-minute immersion in the life of a hero of the extreme, should not be missed material at the Zot Movie Festival!
