Thomas Eric Duncan flew from Liberia to Dallas, Texas on September 19. he flew all on Star Alliance Airlines, on Brussels Airways to Brussels and United Airlines to Washington on to Dallas.

When he felt “under the weather” he went to a Texas hospital and was send home with some flue medication.

Only after his situation deteriorated and by Sunday, September 28 was so bad that he was transported back to the hospital by regular ambulance. Ever since this man is hospitalized in North Texas with Ebola.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the airline said it learned from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that the patient said he flew on United Flight 951 from Brussels to Dulles Airport near Washington. He then flew Flight 822 from Dulles to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Here is the entire statement issued by United Airlines:
โ€œThe United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has informed us that the patient said he flew part of his trip on United. However, without consent, we cannot divulge a travelerโ€™s identity. The director of the CDC has stated there is โ€œzero risk of transmissionโ€ on any flight on which the patient flew because he was not symptomatic until several days after his trip and could not have been contagious on the dates he traveled. While the CDC states it is unnecessary for it or the airline to contact others who were on the patientโ€™s flights, United is providing information about the flights United believes the patient took, based on information provided by the CDC. We are ensuring our employees have this information and suggest that any customers who have concerns contact the experts at the CDC for further information.
Information on the Sept. 20 flights United believes the patient took is as follows:

Brussels to Washington Dulles, Flight 951 and Washington Dulles to Dallas-Fort Worth, Flight 822.

Health officials say there is no risk of infection among other passengers because the man, now identified as Thomas Eric Duncan, had no symptoms when he flew.

Duncan left Liberia on September 19. He must have traveled on United Airlines Star Alliance partner Brussels Air. eTN was not able to confirm this from Brussels Air. The airline did not have any details on this and could not yet comment.

The passenger arrived in the US on September 20 with no symptons
He initially went to the hospital after 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, but presented no flu or other contagious virus symptoms and was given antibiotics and released.
