The strike goes on. The pilot union for Air France on Monday rejected a proposal to end the Air France strike. This strike has distrupted air travel in France and Europe for more than a week now.

The pilot union, SNPL, did not think the proposal is addressing concerns raised.

The management of Air France-KLM, the parent company of Air France, has offered to labor unions to suspend its plan to create bases outside France for its budget carrier Transavia, French daily Le Monde said Monday.

Air France-KLM Chief Executive Alexandre de Juniac said he has proposed fast-tracking the expansion of Transavia France, increasing its fleet to 37 planes from 14, while freezing plans to create Transavia Europe for three months.
