In a couple of weeks, there will be more flight options for tourists to get to their safari destinations in Africa.

It was announced that Safarilink airline will be adding flights to Lokichar with a flight that will leave Wilson Airport and then route via Lokichar to Lodwar, opening up Northern Kenya and in particular the oil exploration areas which have of late sprung to prominence after the opening of the new airfield in Lokichar.

The new route complements the airline’s destinations in Lamu, Ukunda and across most of Kenya’s national parks where daily and multiple daily flights leave Wilson every morning and afternoon to provide easy access and save time otherwise spent on long road journeys. Safarilink operates out of their new premises right next to the Wilson Airport main security checkpoint for passengers and offers superior facilities with wireless access in their departure lounge, cafeteria services and great views to the apron, taxi and runways of the airport, showing a the wide variety of aircraft which call on what has often been described as Africa’s busiest small airport.

Safarilink’s fleet comprises 10 Cessna C208B Grand Caravans, one DHC 6-300 Twin Otter and one Dash 8, all suitable to fly into most airfields across the country. The airline became Kenya’s first carbon neutral air operation as a result of cooperating with the Bill Woodley Mt. Kenya Trust and also supports the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the Colobus Trust at Diani.
