SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 10, 2008) – Online travel organizer TripIt announced an expanded management team including senior executives from Mozilla, Travelocity and Yahoo!

Will Aldrich, previously a senior product director at Yahoo!, has joined TripIt as vice president product. Aldrich brings an impressive background in building compelling consumer experiences. Peter Harrison, formerly of Travelocity, is TripIt’s vice president marketing and will leverage his extensive experience helping early-stage companies grow quickly and cost effectively.

In addition, TripIt co-founder Scott Hintz moves from product to vice president business development to enable the company to capitalize quickly on new opportunities, including expanding partnerships and building out revenue programs.

TripIt has also announced that John Lilly, CEO of Mozilla Corporation, has joined its board of directors. Lilly is a leader in the open source community and supports the collaborative development of Mozilla’s Firefox web browser.

“TripIt has the potential to become a game-changing open travel platform,” said Lilly. “After using the service and meeting the team, I became excited about helping TripIt continue to innovate and improve the online travel experience for consumers worldwide.”

John Lilly joined Mozilla in 2005 as vice president of business development, and has served as COO and a member of the Board of Directors. He became CEO in 2008. Previously, Lilly was the founder and CEO for Reactivity, a software company acquired by Cisco Systems in 2007. Lilly has also led projects at Apple, Sun Microsystems and Trilogy Software.

“We’re thrilled to welcome John Lilly on our board of directors,” said Gregg Brockway, president and co-founder of TripIt. “John’s success in establishing product leadership in an intensely competitive market will be invaluable to TripIt. In addition to John, we have built a strong management team to execute on our vision to become an indispensable personal travel assistant.”

TripIt is exhibiting this week at the TechCrunch 50 conference (http://www.techcrunch50.com/). TripIt first launched one year ago in September 2008 at the TechCrunch 40 conference, where the company was selected by TechCrunch as a promising start-up company.
