SHANGHAI, China – The Shanghai Tower reaches 2,073 feet high with 125 stories, making it China’s tallest building and the second tallest in the world.

SHANGHAI, China – The Shanghai Tower reaches 2,073 feet high with 125 stories, making it China’s tallest building and the second tallest in the world.

A spiraling glass façade is designed to withstand winds of up to 114 miles per hour and several green design features will keep the building temperate.

The building is not only the tallest in China, but also houses the fastest single-deck and double-deck elevators in the world.

With all these accolades, it’s no wonder the Tower was named to the “Most Impressive Construction Projects of 2014” by Tested.com, a website run by the guys from TV’s “MythBusters.”

Construction is slated to be finished in 2015.
