The situation has become grave in Pakistan as two political parties have virtually taken over the Red Zone where the Parliament House and the Diplomatic Enclave are present.

The situation has become grave in Pakistan as two political parties have virtually taken over the Red Zone where the Parliament House and the Diplomatic Enclave are present. Protests started in Pakistan on August 14, 2014, and thousands of protesters started demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and then started a political march towards Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Protesters were allowed to sit in on two specific places close to the Red Zone, but today both political parties leading protests crossed the red line of the Red Zone and have entered into the place where the diplomatic enclave is present as well as of Parliament House and other government buildings including the Prime Ministerโ€™s House.

The leader of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf, Imran Khan, said he will take over Parliament by force tomorrow if Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will not resign by tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Secretariat has said that the Prime Minister will not resign. The Pakistan army has asked the government and political parties to behave with sanity to protect the country from disaster.

Dr. Qadri started his address to his followers, accusing Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif of killing his workers in Model Town. He said โ€œInqlaab has comeโ€ (Revolution has come) and power will be distributed to the lower level of the administrative structure.

He went on to say the Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz, Sharif directed police not to register a First Information Report (FIR) of model police killing. He said the government was abusing the Pakistan Army on the floor of the house, and basic democracy has been suspended in Pakistan while the government is avoiding to hold local elections. He believes that the sitting government has suspended 35 articles of the Constitution of Pakistan.

He ensured that he would now provide rights to the poor for better education and living standards. He said he would provide bread, housing, education, and health care to the people. He also said judicial, social, constitutional, and election reforms will be started soon as his Revolution has come, but he said a real revolution will start after the resignations of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif. He demanded control of the national government after disbanding the Parliament of Pakistan.

He directed his followers not to enter any building and to stay on Constitutional Avenue only.

Dr. Tahirul Qadri is placing his stage in front of Parliament House. There is the possibility that Imran Khan and Qadri will address from the same stage.

The United States of America has shown its concern over the situation in Pakistan and said that the Pakistan government must not take undemocratic steps. The United Kingdom has also expressed its concern over the situation.

Parliament Houses are surrounded by protesters. The Pakistan Army issued this statement:

โ€œBuildings in [the] Red Zone are symbol[s] of [the] State and [are] being protected by [the] Army, therefore, sanctity of these national symbols must be respected. [The] situation requires patience, wisdom, and sagacity from all stakeholders to resolve [this] prevailing impasse through meaningful dialogue in [the[ larger national and public interest,โ€ said a spokesman of the Pakistan Army.
