The Intercontinental Group is building two new hotels in Abu Dhabi as part of its expansion in the UAE market, a company executive has said.

The new hotel will comprise 184 rooms, including hotel apartments, and would provide the latest in cuisine, conference services and other facilities and activities.

Interconti has signed a 20-year agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) Co to manage the new hotel.

A new Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi will open in October 2014 adding that this hotel is owned by ADNH.

The new projects mean that three hotels would be opened by the group, including Staybridge which is scheduled to be inaugurated in the next three years.
