The Honorable Charles De Commarmond, the elected member of the Seychelles National Assembly for Cascade, called on Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, at his offices at ESPACE Building in Victoria to discuss possibilities in tourism-related projects in the Electoral District of Cascade that could benefit the people of the District.
Honorable De Commarmond and Minister St.Ange discussed the various possibilities inclusive of the opening up of the Mont Sebert Trail linking Cascade to upper La Misere.
“We encourage community-based tourism. This is the same concept we have been following attentively through our participation in the ‘East 3 Route’ program with KwaZulu Natal of South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique where Minister Michael Mabuyakhulu, the MEC for KwaZulu Natal has been the driving force in a bid to develop community-based tourism,” Minister St.Ange said.
It was resolved at the meeting between the Minister and Honorable De Commarmond, the elected member of the National Assembly for Cascade that a joint visit of the district would be organized and different of the points discussed will be assessed on site.
