Recently Precision Air pulled out of Mbeya in Tanzania citing non-availability of fuel which made operations financially difficult as the extra fuel load which was needed to be carried out of Dar es Salaam restricted the sale of passenger seats due to weight restrictions. Close rival Fastjet has since then stepped into the gap with more flights to Mbeya, using their Airbus A319 on the route.

Yesterday, Precision Air announced in Dar es Salaam that it will return to Kigoma, Tanzania, with three flights per week by the middle of July. Flights will operate out of Mwanza every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, offering convenient connections both ways to a number of domestic destinations as well as to Nairobi. The airline also confirmed that from beginning of August they will increase their flights between Mwanza and Nairobi to double daily, following sustained demand on the route.

On both routes will Precision Air use their ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft, depending on demand.
