A passenger jet carrying approximately 150 tourists from Belfast to Barcelona had to make an emergency landing at Cork Airport late last night due to a suspected fuel leak.
The pilot on the Boeing 737-300 declared an emergency shortly after the plane left from Northern Ireland and diverted to Cork.
The Cork Airport’s emergency plan was put into place to guide the plane to safety, and the aircraft landed safely just after 11.45pm.
The chartered plane is operated by Irish company Air Contractors.
