Hold all planes. This is the message received Saturday evening at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Chicago is the busiest and largest airport in the United States. This time it’s due to thunderstorms. Air traffic in Chicago is experiencing Gate Hold and Taxi delays between 1 hour and 16 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes in length and increasing to several hours or causing cancellations.

AT 7.00pm on Saturday more than 3,300 US flights delayed, another 207 canceled amid severe storms.

Chicago had a weather problem starting from fog to thunderstorms for the last 4 days causing some passengers to spend 2 nights or more in the transit hall waiting to get on flights after the original flights were cancelled.
