NEW ORLEANS, LA – Harrah’s New Orleans Casino & Hotel has announced it will close today, August 30, due to the approach of Hurricane Gustav. The casino closed at 2 p.m.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Harrah’s New Orleans Casino & Hotel has announced it will close today, August 30, due to the approach of Hurricane Gustav. The casino closed at 2 p.m. CST, while the hotel will close by 4 p.m. CST.

“The safety of our customers and employees is our highest priority,” said Jim Hoskins, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah’s New Orleans.
