Grand Biloxi announces closure due to approaching hurricane

BILOXI, Mississippi - Due to the approach of Hurricane Gustav, the Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel and Spa will close on Sunday, August 31 at 9 a.m. CDT. The casino is closing at 4 a.m. CDT, while the hotel will close at 9 a.m. CDT.

All Grand Biloxi employees are urged to call 1-888-488-OPEN (6736) for information regarding the property status and updates.

Customers may log on to www.harrahs.com for the latest information on the status of the property or call 1-800-HARRAHS for assistance with reservations.

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour stated that evacuations should begin this weekend.
