ATLANTA, GA – Delta Air Lines customers will begin receiving upgraded amenities in Economy Comfort including complimentary pillows, blankets and food options on all flights from New York’s John F.

ATLANTA, GA – Delta Air Lines customers will begin receiving upgraded amenities in Economy Comfort including complimentary pillows, blankets and food options on all flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport beginning June 4.

Customers on Delta’s transcontinental routes will continue to receive priority boarding, seats with more legroom, plus free beer, wine and spirits when they purchase Economy Comfort.

Economy Comfort customers will receive a complimentary pre-set pillow and blanket on their seat while they board the aircraft. After boarding, Economy Comfort customers will be offered a Delta sleep kit, including eye shades and ear plugs, as added amenities. During flight, Economy Comfort customers will enjoy complimentary Luvo snack wraps and a full-size bottle of water for all flights and Luvo frozen yogurt bars as a mid-flight snack on most flights except those flights leaving the West Coast after 9 p.m.

This is just another example of how Delta continues to improve travel through its investments in the customer experience in the air and on the ground.

“Delta continues to invest in Economy Comfort with upgraded amenities for customers when they fly one of our transcontinental routes from New York to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle,” said Jeff Robertson, vice president – Product Development, Sky Clubs and Marketing Communications. “Adding pillows and blankets for comfort as well as Luvo wraps and mid-flight snack offerings improves the travel experience for our premium economy customers so they arrive at their destination rested and refreshed.”

As previously announced, by mid-June, Delta will also operate three newly refurbished Boeing 757 aircraft with full flat-bed seats in the BusinessElite cabin. The addition of these aircraft to Delta’s existing 767 aircraft will offer customers full access to flat-bed seats in BusinessElite on all flights between New York-JFK and Los Angeles International Airport. As additional Boeing 757 aircraft are refurbished in the coming months, all transcontinental flights between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle will feature full flat-bed seats in BusinessElite by summer 2015.

Delta has invested billions of dollars in the customer experience, including updating interiors with more baggage space and access to power throughout 225 domestic narrowbody aircraft through 2016, a new Terminal 4 at New York-JFK and the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal in Atlanta. Delta has also spent more than $100 million to expand, renovate and consolidate terminals C and D at New York-LaGuardia Airport and opened a Sky Deck at Delta Sky Clubs in New York-JFK and Atlanta in 2013. Additionally, customers have seen Delta’s investment in its more than 50 Delta Sky Clubs throughout the system, power recharging stations at dozens of airports, and continued updates to the Fly Delta app including features such as integrated baggage tracking and mobile check-in.
