Residing on an island nation, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is dearly grateful for and passionate in the protection of the ocean, making World Ocean Day a significant date in the Hadahaa calendar.
From June 1-8, 2014, the Hadahaa Hyatt Thrive Team will commence a week-long activity plan designed to raise awareness and funds for marine conservation and sustainability (Hyattโs global corporate responsibility platform).
The feature activity is a 30-km kayak paddle relay between three neighboring, focus islands of Dhaandhoo, Kondey, and Gemanafushi. A team of 10 will set out to complete the challenge in one day while visiting each island along the way to raise awareness for World Ocean Day and what it means to all of us.

โข June 2, 4, 6 – Marine conservation and sustainability presentations to guests of Park Hyatt Maldives

Why is Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa taking part in World Ocean Day? The worldโs oceans generate most of the oxygen we breathe, help feed us, regulate our climate, clean the water we drink, offer a pharmacopoeia of potential medicines, and provide limitless inspiration in all departments of life from leisure to life.
Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa has created a fund raising page for anyone wishing to support our efforts for World Oceans Day with all donations going to The Coral Reef Alliance. www.coral.org
