BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – The number of people who died in a plane that crashed into Río de la Plata river has increased to five. Four people were injured.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – The number of people who died in a plane that crashed into Río de la Plata river has increased to five. Four people were injured.

Previously it has been reported that one person was killed and seven were injured. Two of the passengers were identified as top executives from the Renault car manufacturer.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon . BE20 aircraft took off from the Buenos Aires suburb of San Fernando, in Argentina, and went down while flying to the city of Carmelo, in neighbouring Uruguay. Ten kilometers south of Carmelo the aircraft crash into the river, the emergency services officials said .

There were no immediate reports on the cause of the crash. It is known that the plane belonged to the owner of a clothing company, who is currently in the US and who said in an interview with Argentine television that the plane was in good condition and serviced on time.
