Right in front of the Hyatt Regency in Clearwater, Florida, a huge fight broke out on the famous beach, leaving two people wounded from gunshots. One victim was taken to a hospital, and the other left without further medical attention after being shot in the hand.

Police took 8 individuals into custody, and closed off access to the beach. A SWAT team locked down the Hyatt around 10:00 pm, followed by a room-by-room search.

It was pure chaos when an argument between two groups of people at Clearwater Beach for the Memorial Day Holiday escalated and shots rang out from a hotel parking garage. People scrambled and ran.

Police found multiple guns, but no arrests have yet been made against any of those taken into custody.

In other shooting incidents in the United States on this day that was meant to commemorate veterans who have served the country, two people were shot and killed in front of a busy Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, boardwalk. And at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, 25-year-old Max Levine was shot and killed; police arrested 19-year-old Avory Johnson on a preliminary murder charge. The victim was camping outside the track with plans to attend the event the next day, one of the biggest professional auto racing events in the country.
