The Sakifo Musik Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary on May 23, 24 and 25 in Saint-Pierre on Reunion Island. This year, the program consists of a panel of artists from different backgrounds that are sure to provide a colorful top-notch event.
The public will have the opportunity to see these artists live: Matthieu Chedid, aka -M-, for a concert on Friday, May 23, 2014. The artist will perform songs from the rock album, Il, whose early songs were born in Reunion. Earlier in the evening, rapper Youssoupha will provide an incisive flow of the south Salahin scene.
On Saturday, May 24, 2014, the inevitable Stromae will take possession of the Salahin festival scene with its finely chiseled percussive beats and the sound of Belgian electro-pop at the site of Ravine Blanche.
Kassav will seize the stage on Sunday, May 25, for a first meeting with the Sakifo public. Like a Zouk festival, the event will close with an energetic good mood.
Between reggae, hip hop, electro, rap, rock, pop, maloya, dub, blues, jazz, folk, metal, and sega sounds, Sakifo 2014 will delight every single music loverโs ears that come to listen and enjoy.
