Minister Michael Mabuyakhulu, the KwaZulu Natal MEC responsible for Economic Development and Tourism, chaired the East3Route Ministerial Meeting that brought together Minister Jabulani Mabuza, the Minister responsible for Tourism & Environmental Affairs from the Kingdom of Swaziland and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and a high-level tourism official delegation from each of the four countries for a Ministerial Meeting. Mozambique was being represented by a Director from the Minister’s Office.
The meeting was the opportunity for the Ministers for the Ministers to review the work of the East3Route Organization and to see the planned activities for the current year. The report on the 2013 East3Route expedition was presented by Mr. Smanga Sethene and Nr Ndabo Khoza of Tourism KwaZulu Natal.
Minister Mabuyakhulu of KwaZulu Natal used the opportunity of the meeting to impress on everyone the need to get approved projects such as the ‘Green Market Stalls’ started in each of the four Member Countries.
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, said that this organization is an example on how Africa can work with Africa for the success of Tourism in Africa. He saluted the determination of KwaZulu Natal of South Africa in this East3Route initiative.
