CAIRO, Egypt – Egyptian security forces are searching for a South African tourist who has gone missing after a small boat in Egypt’s Upper Aswan sank due to bad weather.

CAIRO, Egypt – Egyptian security forces are searching for a South African tourist who has gone missing after a small boat in Egypt’s Upper Aswan sank due to bad weather.

Eight others were rescued, including five tourists and the boat crew of three Egyptians.

Egypt is expected to witness increasing inclement weather over the coming days. Heavy rainfall is expected across the country on Thursday, announced Egypt’s Meteorological Authority, with floods in the Sinai Peninsula, the Red Sea mountain range and Upper Egypt.
