HONG KONG โ€“ The complete list of nominees for the upcoming Asia Boating Awards has been announced (see below), with some new and exciting entries, as well as some industry stalwarts. Asian yacht builders have been growing in global market share and are now starting to get worldwide media recognition. In recognising the China market and environmental issues, the awards this year feature three new categories: Best China Yacht Club / Marina of the Year, Best Brand Presence in China and Green Maritime Company of the Year.

This year sees awards in 21 categories, showcasing Asian builders and international brands, as well as Asian regattas, marinas and yacht designers working in Asia. The pioneering Asia Boating Awards is the first event to recognise the efforts and successes of Asian yacht builders.

The list of nominees comes from online polling of Asia-Pacific Boating readers, with final winners being determined by a panel of judges selected for their expertise as well as their ability to make informed, impartial decisions.

The Asia Boating Awards will take place on May 9 at Hotel ICON, Hong Kong, the same day that the Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show opens at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club. This year Parmigiani, K. Wah International Holdings, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Jebsen Fine Wines, Grey Goose, Dornbracht and Embraer are the sponsors along with Baccarat, which is providing the trophies.
