A ground stop was issued today at 2:00 pm US Pacific Standard Time by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for several airports in Southern California due to computer problems.

A ground stop was issued today at 2:00 pm US Pacific Standard Time by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for several airports in Southern California due to computer problems.

A ground stop means that flights are able to land, but no flight may depart, although it was reported that some incoming flights were being diverted to other airports.

It is not yet known when the ground stop will be lifted.
