“We arrested the person yesterday for molesting the Irish tourist in the A/C paid waiting room at Bangalore Railway Station. He has been sent to judicial custody,” Railways Superintendent of Police S N Siddaramappa said.

The man, hailing from Davanagere and a frequent traveller to the city, molested the 33-year old woman, who was down with dysentery and dehydration as she reached the station at 6 am yesterday, under the pretext of helping her.

As the woman raised an alarm, he fled from the spot, the SP said adding he was nabbed within an hour of the woman filing a complaint.

He has been booked under IPC section 354 (A) – sexual harassment, Siddaramappa said.
