Prayers and thoughts by ordinary people about MH370

It was a picture of perfection
The sky was crystal clear
The moon a loyal companion
The stars the brightest of the year.

Then came the sudden blow
A break in the chain of light

It was a picture of perfection
The sky was crystal clear
The moon a loyal companion
The stars the brightest of the year.

Then came the sudden blow
A break in the chain of light
A sign of a missing glow
A star has gone for the night.

It was too fast to decipher
No sign of where it has gone
No trail for others to discover
No shadow from dusk till dawn.

This really couldnโ€™t be true!
She was the glory of the sky
She was shining as good as new
She could at least say goodbye.

The search is unceasing for her
The world has lost its one joy
The cry spreads from one to the other
The hope stays no one can destroy.

In the deepest silence of the night
It was a test of patience too divine
The elusive star bolded through the fright
โ€œVain is the seeking, but tomorrow Iโ€™ll shine

It is so heart warming to see nations and people from around the world, coming together in one united effort, to help in the search and rescue operations for MH370.

Thank you to these countries for having relentlessly scoured the skies, seas and land for MH370:

Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines, Spore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, US and Vietnam. Last heard Iran is offering too.

And also the 2.3 million people worldwide who are crowdsourcing and spending hours painfully scrutinising satellite imageries at the Tomnod site to help locate MH370.

This is an amazing demonstration of faith in humanity restored.

We are with you all the way as we continue to pray for the safe return of our loved ones in MH370.

Prayers and sympathies for MH370 flooded social media after news broke that the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 went missing. As of Saturday morning, the hash tags #PrayForMH370 trended in Twitter.

It is understandable that many family members are holding tight to memories for comfort and leaning on family and friends for strength.

The pain cannot be relieved and words fall short of expressing our sorrows, but some amount of compassion and thoughtfulness can help ease the pain.

Words cannot even begin to express the horror that we feel. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about, but just know that you are close in every thought and prayer. We share your grief in this time of bereavement with deepest sympathy and condolence.

Thank you to all the selfless people who have been helping out in the search for MH370. Your dedication is indeed applauded.
