MUSCAT, Oman – Oman Air has signed a brand new codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, offering greater choice and convenience to customers of both the airlines.

The agreement, which came into effect on January 23 this year, allows Oman Air’s customers to book seats on SriLankan Airline’s services from Muscat to Singapore, Male, and China via Colombo. In turn, SriLankan Airlines’ customers will be able to book Oman Air’s flights from Colombo to Zurich via Muscat.

Stating that Oman Air looks forward to working with SriLankan Airlines, Wayne Pearce, chief executive officer, said, “This new agreement will increase both choice and convenience for customers.

It allows Oman Air’s customers to book with us to fly to Singapore and increases available connections from Colombo to Male.”

SriLankan Airlines chief executive officer Kapila Chandrasena said, “SriLankan Airlines and Oman Air have had a long history of cooperation since the signing of the bilateral Air Services Agreement between Sri Lanka and the Sultanate in 1981. The present partnership further strengthens the longstanding cooperation.”
