eTN  Aug 11, 2008

FORT WORTH, TX (August 11, 2008) - American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will launch two daily round-trip flights from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois to Chicago O'Hare International Airport beginning November 2. That same day, the two daily round-trip flights operated by AmericanConnection carrier Trans States Airlines from Springfield to Lambert St. Louis International Airport will end.

"We look forward to serving the local Springfield market with flights to our hub at Chicago O'Hare," said Peter Bowler, president and CEO of American Eagle. "From O'Hare, Springfield passengers can easily connect to more than 430 daily flights that American Eagle and American Airlines will operate to dozens of domestic and international destinations in November."
