LIVONIA, MI – Don’t miss the new, one-of-a-kind Bat Boat at the Detroit Boat Show coming to Cobo Center next week – Feb. 15-23. The Bat Boat is a replica to commemorate the much anticipated, new movie, “Batman vs. Superman” rumored to have already begun filming in Pontiac and around Michigan. Starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill (from Man of Steel) as Superman, this highly anticipated movie is the first time the two main stage superheroes will meet!

At the Detroit Boat Show, it will be a first time meeting for Batman and Boatman. These two brave super heroes will be available for attendees to meet on both weekends and select days at the Detroit Boat Show!

The Bat Boat is just one of many amazing features to see. Other features at the show are sure to provide a full day of fun for the entire family. See the live stingray and crab exhibit, where show goers can feed and touch the animals! Kids can Build-A-Boat, and play other games to win great prizes; climb into the new Water Rollerz; and meet a REAL mermaid! Surfers of all ages and all abilities can climb aboard the Surfboard Simulator. See more details on prize giveaways and promotions of the Highlights page of DetroitBoatShow.net.

The Bat Boat replica is operational and was built by Wilson Marine. “We heard Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, are moving to Michigan this summer because of the movie filming,” said Ron Wilson, owner of Wilson Marine. “We are hoping they choose and on-water residence so they can enjoy Michigan’s unrivaled boating opportunities.”

“The number of promotions and new model introductions this year is unprecedented. The show offers everything from exciting new boats, to a relaxing chair in the Tiki Bar and a great opportunity to get a blast of summer in the middle of our winter,” said Show Manager Nicki Polan. “And with 300,000 square feet of sold-out space there are nearly 1,000 boats to see and purchase at the year’s best prices.”
