WESTMORELAND, Jamaica โ A tourist reportedly lost his life Tuesday afternoon in a jet-ski accident in the resort town of Negril, Westmoreland.
The guest who was staying at the Travellers Beach Resort in Negril was on vacation from the United States.
According to a source claiming to be an eyewitness to the incident, the visitor was swimming near the hotel where he was staying, when he was hit by the jet ski.
Co-owner of Travellers Beach Resort, Winthorpe Wellington, said information received from other guests who reportedly witnessed the incident is that the jet-ski operator did not stop after the accident.
He added that operation of jet skis has been a cause for concern in the resort town.
