Texas flights may again be affected by another tropical storm

HOUSTON, TX (August 4, 2008) - Continental Airlines and AirTran Airways announced travel options for customers whose flight plans may be affected by Tropical Storm Edouard.

Weather conditions are expected to make air travel difficult throughout Texas. This forecast will force some delays and cancellations of flights at airports in the region through Wednesday.

Continental Airlines Statement

To avoid inconvenience, travelers scheduled on flights through August 6 may wish to delay commencement of their trip.

Customers ticketed for travel through August 6 to or from certain affected airports in the region (see for applicable airports), are permitted a one-time date or time change to their flights without penalty for rescheduled travel originating by August 13. If a flight has been canceled, a refund in the original form of payment can be requested.

AirTran Airways Statement

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., is offering passengers with flights booked to/from Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, August 5, to change their travel to today, August 4, or August 6 through 8, without change fees or fare adjustments.

Passengers holding reservations for travel to/from Houston scheduled August 5, 2008, should check under "Flight Status" for updates or call 1-800-AIRTRAN (247-8726).
