Inter Island Airways Fiji plans to launch services in mid-March

SUVA, Fiji – Local air travelers will be able to enjoy the services of brand new domestic carrier Inter Island Airways from March next year.

SUVA, Fiji – Local air travelers will be able to enjoy the services of brand new domestic carrier Inter Island Airways from March next year.

Barney Sene, the president and CEO of Inter Island Airways Fiji Limited and Aviana Airways Corporation, said the airline was close to completing certification with the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji.

Upon completion, Inter Island Airways Fiji plans to launch domestic services mid-March next year.

Inter Island Airways Fiji is a subsidiary of US-based Aviana Airways Corporation based in Las Vegas in the US.

The airline plans to operate an initial fleet of four 18-seat Dornier 228 aircraft and one 30-seat Dornier 328 turbo-prop from its initial operating base in Nadi and support base in Suva.

Inter Island Airways will service routes to and from Labasa, Savusavu, Taveuni, Kadavu, Rotuma, Suva and Nadi.
