PANAMA CITY BEACH, Florida (July 30, 2008) – Susan Estler is the new vice president of marketing at the Panama City Beach, Florida Convention and Visitors Bureau.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Florida (July 30, 2008) – Susan Estler is the new vice president of marketing at the Panama City Beach, Florida Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Estler brings to her new position more than 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, public relations and graphic design.

For the past seven years she served as director of marketing and public relations for the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in Southwest Florida. Estler spearheaded initiatives to redesign the Bureau’s overall branding, relaunch its Website and develop an international public relations program. Under her direction, Visitor Guide distribution more than doubled, Web visits and online e-newsletter and promotions registration jumped 40 percent and the destination enjoyed favorable coverage in both national and international press, including media coverage from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

While she was there, Bradenton County won Gold Adrian Awards for its overall marketing campaign and visitors guide from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Ana Maria island was named Trip Advisor’s #1 2007 U.S. Hot Spot and a Top Five Affordable Beach Destination by SmarterTravel.com.

Estler chairs the Visit Florida Marketing and Internet Committee and sits on the Visit Florida Marketing Steering Committee. She is a member of the Florida Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.
