Cuba tourism counts over 2 million so far in 2013

According to data Publisher by the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI in Spanish), from January thru September 2013, arrived at this Caribbean archipelago two million 144 thousand 632 visitors, of which 147 thousand 673 did so in September.

In that period of time, the main emitter countries were Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina and Italy.

According to ONEI statistics, in the last five years, the arrivals of international visitors have gradually increased.

In three quarters of 2009 arrived 1.8 million visitors and increased to 2.1 million in 2012.

Cuba has over 60 thousand hotel rooms in all the country and last year it finished with 2.8 million visitors.

As part of the development of the tourism industry, this island besides the traditional modality of sun and beach, there are offers in ecotourism, cultural packages, quality of life, business trips and water sports, among others.
