Alexandria, Va., Dec. 17, 2007 (eTN) – ASTA has added three additional days of complimentary sightseeing tours at the 2008 International Destination Expo, April 12-16 in Lyon, France. Taking this extra time to explore Lyon, attendees will have the chance to experience first-hand European sightseeing at its best. Agents will have the option of taking many unique tours, exploring Perouges, Beaujolais, Lake Annecy, Côte Rôtie Vineyards, Vienne and other destinations, that will provide them with the essential information their clients will appreciate. Tour space is limited, so it is important to register immediately.

“Learning about the destination is one of the most important benefits of having an international trade show, so it is important to explore and tour as much as possible,” said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. “Whether agents tour the city from the water, learn all about wine or take an illuminated tour at night, they will see how remarkable Lyon really is.”

This year, the International Destination Expo will feature a wide variety of hands-on educational seminars with even more chances to tour, providing agents with the most current information on European niche markets, as well as information on Lyon’s fascinating culinary, wine and arts culture. The sightseeing tours, privately guided historical excursions and artisan workshops will make for an experience that agents cannot afford to miss. The International Destination Expo is the place to become a European vacation expert.

The new tours added include:

Friday, April 11:

The Murals of Lyon

Lyon World Heritage Tour

Saturday, April 12:

Lyon Renaissance District and Its "Traboules"

Thursday, April 17:
