ARLINGTON, VA – ARC announced today the launch of an online communications center where travel agents can verify and update their contact information, as well as personalize correspondence type and frequency of correspondence. Created specifically for agency employees, the ARC Agent Profile has no relation to the annual reaffirmation required for travel agencies under the updated Agent Reporting Agreement.

“All of us are flooded by so much email that is either outright spam or of limited value to our diverse professional interests,” said Lauri Reishus, ARC’s vice president and chief operating officer. “Since the travel agent community is so varied in so many areas, including types of travel booked and specific destination focus, we wanted to make sure that the communications ARC sends are the right ones. And the only way we can do this is by agents letting us know what they want to receive.”

Agent information will be used solely for customizing ARC communications to fit the particular needs and interests of each individual agent. For example, based on agent-provided information, ARC Agent Profile will enable ARC to send information on exclusive product development opportunities, event invitations, important updates, and notices about special commissionable products from ARC MarketPlace. No information will be shared with third parties, although there is an opt-in choice if an agent desires to receive timely third-party information.

Agents will soon receive communications announcing ARC Agent Profile and requesting them to either update their current contact and preference information using their My ARC login, or create a new profile.
