Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, accompanied by his PS and members of his Secretariat, led a delegation to the New Savoy Hotel project on the promenade at popular Beau Vallon Beach. The Minister’s delegation also included representatives from the Seychelles Tourism Board.

The new Savoy Hotel Project is a 173-room property which is expected to announce its soft opening date soon. With a large central swimming pool complex with a restaurant, the hotel accommodation blocks are positioned in a semi-circle arrangement all facing the spectacular beach of Beau Vallon of the main island of Mahe.

Minister St.Ange and his delegation were guided through a tour of the new hotel complex before holding a meeting with the project’s management in their construction Board Room.

The Minister responsible for Tourism discussed the staff recruitment process and procedures in place and impressed on the developers to set the date for their soft opening as this was important for the country bearing in mind the constraints of air access for mid-ocean islands.

Minister St.Ange also reiterated to the developers that โ€œSUBIOS, the Seychelles Festival of the Seaโ€ that is held every November at Beau Vallon needed all the support to ensure that the construction site does not impact negatively on this Seychelles popular event.

The current construction of the Beau Vallon public promenade passing right in front of the hotel was also visited.
