Al-Khobara old village to receive tourists

Qassim PTO and Al-Khobara municipality will launch the first phase of the rehabilitation project of Al-Khobara old village. The project includes the preparation of the main square and commercial shops, according to the executive plan of 1429H, which is expected to be completed by the end of the current year.

Dr. Jasir Al-Herbish, the executive manager of Qassim PTO, said that Al-Khobara old village is one of the most essential traditional villages in the KSA and it occupies an area of nearly 2 square km. Also, this village is located at a distance of 5 km. from Qassim-Maddinah highway, and it has 335 houses and 3 mosques.

Dr. Al-Herbish stated that this project is supported by HRH Prince Fiasal bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz, Governor of Qassim and chairman of the Tourism Development Council. An agreement was signed between Qassim Amarah and the SCTA to include Al-Khobara old village within the national project for the traditional village qualification. The project endeavors to prepare the traditional villages and develop them economically and culturally in a sustainable manner.
