A double win for Spa Cenvaree at Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards 2013

BANGKOK, Thailand – Two branches of Spa Cenvaree, the luxury spa brand of Thailand’s Centara Hotels & Resorts, have been presented in the Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards 2013.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Two branches of Spa Cenvaree, the luxury spa brand of Thailand’s Centara Hotels & Resorts, have been presented in the Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards 2013.

Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld has been named as People’s Choice in the Traditional Thai Experience category, while Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya has won the award for People’s Choice Amazing Hotel Spa.

The awards were presented on September 19, 2013 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre Muang Thong Thani, in Bangkok.

“Spa Cenvaree is rooted deep within Thailand’s cultural heritage and is based on harnessing the positive energy of nature using traditional therapies and natural products,” says Elaine Chua, Centara’s group director of spa operations. “This has enabled us to achieve a very distinct identity with local residents and also with overseas visitors.”

All spa operators registered in Thailand with the Ministry of Public Health were invited to apply for the awards, which were conducted under the auspices of the Thai Spa Association and judged by a panel of independent industry experts.

Criteria for the Traditional Thai Experience Award won by Spa Cenvaree at Centara Grand at CentralWorld included the provision of customized Thai spa treatments in a traditional Thai manner, along with traditional Thai products, services and design elements in the deliverance of the experience.

The Amazing Hotel Spa Award won by Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya required participants to have at least five treatment rooms and six full-time staff, along with a spa concept clearly defined and evident from its interior design through to products and services offered.

Both categories also required documented marketing plans, operating procedures and training programs.
