British Airways flight makes emergency landing in Siberia

IRKUTSK, Russia – British Airways’ Boeing 747 jet made emergency landing in Irkutsk, Russia today.

IRKUTSK, Russia – British Airways’ Boeing 747 jet made emergency landing in Irkutsk, Russia today. According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Irkutsk region, BA flight BAW-39 was flying from London to Beijing when plane’s captain reported avionics, ie, flight software, malfunction and then decided to land in the city of Irkutsk.

“A senior operative on duty of CMC Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Irkutsk region has have received the message that an aircraft wwas to make an emergency landing at Irkutsk airport at 10.01am local time.

In place of the task force left the CMC investigators are currnetly at the airport. According to preliminary information, there are 289 people on board of the aircraft “- said the press service.
