The Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA), Alaska’s statewide professional trade association for businesses and individuals involved in the visitor industry, announces three hires to its leadership team:

Jillian Simpson, Director of Membership & Tourism Policy – Ms. Simpson brings over 13 years of experience in the Alaska visitor industry to her new position at ATIA. Simpson formerly served as the association’s Director of Travel Trade & International Marketing and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross.

Sioux-z Marshall, Director of Finance & Human Resources – Ms. Marshall, a life-long Alaskan professional, has a strong background in non-profit management, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and payroll. She has consulted with programs around organizational structure, accounting systems and financial and operation procedures. Ms. Marshall previously founded and owned her own businesses and has an MBA from Alaska Pacific University.

Ruth Rosewarne Kimerer, Director of Marketing & Travel Trade Relations – Ms. Kimerer has over 14 years of sales and marketing experience in Alaska’s visitor industry and most recently comes to ATIA from the Alaska Railroad Corporation. Ms. Kimerer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management and Marketing from Northern Arizona University.
