TAIPEI, Taiwan – The Tourism Bureau is running an exhibition at Taipei 101 making use of motion-sensing technology to present Taiwan’s important events and festivals of a year.

The “Time for Celebration” exhibition at Taipei 101’s observation deck on the 89th floor and the B1 basement presents 42 unique events of Taiwan, showcasing the vitality of the local culture, the bureau said.

The bureau is offering local residents a free ticket to the show for each group of fours. There will also be lucky draws, with the grand prize being a Taipei-Tokyo round-trip ticket, the bureau said, adding the show runs till Sept. 23.

The exhibition presents what a backpacker, “Annie,” saw during her trip around the island. The motion sensing technology-enabled presentation of the videos and pictures allows visitors to the show to have a virtual participation in those events.

“Annie” also speaks Chinese, English and Japanese while introducing her trip, the bureau said.
