Berlin airport Brandenburg up for a quick opening in 2013?

The German news paper Bild said:”The airport could be opening this year.”
Easyjet could be the first airline to move. Talks are about doing this in October this year. Nor Mr. Mehrdorn or Easyjet are confirming this yet.
“Easyjet is not confirming speculations, Haagensen, their spokesperson sayid. “We always suggested to the airport management to open the airport step by step. We are interested in moving early.” Currently Easyjet is flying into Berlin Schoenefeld airport.
Brandenburg airport spokesperson Mr. Ralf Kunkel said:” We are speeding up the process. Our goal is a speedy and secure opening of the new airport. We will introduce more in autumn.”

Hartmud mehrdorn said earlier this month, talks are ongoing with all airlines about opening the airport. A thought is to have passengers first allowed to check in at the northern part of the airport. This part was reserved for low cost carriers. Such flights could take off from the Northern runway.
