The official seal of approval for excellence in passenger service: TUV SUD, Germany’s leading technical testing agency, investigated customer satisfaction at Frankfurt Airport and came up with an overall score of 1.84 – an outstanding result. Passengers were especially pleased with the short waiting times at the airport, the friendliness of employees, and cleanliness of the terminals. Conducted in 2012, the survey involved questioning more than 20,000 passengers.

What passengers think about the standard of service at Frankfurt Airport is very important for its global recognition. Travelers are, therefore, regularly surveyed to find out how satisfied they are. Each year an external agency interviews passengers in the terminals just before they board their flights.

The survey findings help Frankfurt Airport learn about passengers’ wishes, identify any weaknesses, and take steps to raise the standard of passenger services further. The awarding of the TUV quality seal confirms the success of the airport’s “Great to have you here!” service program, which is implementing a wide range of improvements to make it even easier and more pleasant to depart, transfer, and arrive at Germany’s largest aviation hub. In 2012, Frankfurt Airport hosted more than 57 million passengers.
