The entire Starwood group is working towards reducing energy consumption by 30%, and water consumption by 20% by the year 2020. Le Meridien Cyberport implemented a wide range of green practices, such as energy conserving double-glazed windows in all areas, waste minimization, recycling, organic waste composting, elimination of styrofoam packaging, alternatives to plastic bottled water, sustainable food and beverage options, and elimination of wooden chopsticks and paper mats. The special Green Committee, formed of a group of employees from different departments, monitors the progress of eco-friendly measures, shaping and realizing the property’s environmental goals.
