Maldives Tourism announces amendment to Request for Proposal for Herathera Island

The Maldives Tourism Development Corporation PLC (MTDC) has extended the deadline for submission of Proposal for Herathera Island on or before 1400 hours on January 21, 2013. Reference is made to the Request for Proposal (RFP) issued for Herathera Island, Seenu Atoll, Maldives, dated October 16, 2012 (Reference number: MTDC/2012/HIR-RFP/01).
A pre-submission meeting will be held at MTDC at 1400 hours on January 7, 2013 for those who wish to participate. However, those who do not attend this meeting are also eligible to purchase and submit proposal.
The amended Request for Proposal (RFP) and amended Request for Proposal Documents (RFPD) are available on the MTDC website ( www.mtdc.com.mv ).
A complete set of Request for Proposal Documents (RFPD) may be purchased on submission of an Application Form to MTDC. The Application Form can be collected from the MTDC Head Office and/or can be downloaded from MTDC’s website. Parties eligible to submit Proposals are those who purchase the RFPD.
The amended Request for Proposal (RFP) invites all Maldivian and foreign parties who are interested, to submit written Proposals under this Request for Proposal (RFP) for Herathera Island, an island leased to MTDC by the government of Maldives, by either one or both of the following ways:
a) Sublease model: Parties who are eligible to submit proposals for this option are limited liability companies registered in the Maldives or elsewhere
b) Full outright sale of the island: Parties who are eligible to submit proposals for this option are Maldivian and foreign individuals, partnerships, and companies.
